The Company's History

ICON PLUS was established in 1999 in Thessaloniki, Greece, by Dimitris Mourtzopoulos and Maximos Konstantinides, aimed at the production of audiovisual works, television programs, documentaries, company video presentations, advertisements, Video CDs and DVDs, using advanced digital technology.

ICON PLUS is also active in the planning and implementing of new applications providing sophisticated services in the field of audiovisual productions such as the proprietary CRT based system for the transfer of digital or analogue video to 35 mm film. ICON PLUS undertakes the video to film transfer of TV spots, short films and, especially due to its excellent quality, that of feature films.

Dimitris Mourtzopoulos obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1982 and has also worked on and directed films and video (having been awarded for his short- films and videos). In 1989 he established ICON Computer Images and Animation Cine & TV productions.

Maximos Konstantinides studied Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 1982 he has entered or established various companies, organising the sales and the promotion of products and services to National and International markets. In 1993 he established TERREMA AV Productions.

In 1996 "ICON" and "TERREMA" became established as the co-op "ICON - TERREMA".

In December 1998, the liquidation of both ICON and TERREMA lead to the establishment of ICON PLUS.
